Since the first COVID-19 positive person was confirmed in the U.S., the disease has affected all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 16 people per mi2 (6 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of coronavirus cases has reached 942 today, Glades County still has the lowest count of cases and fatal cases in the state of Florida.
Miami-Dade County and Broward County are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 473K and 230K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Liberty County and Franklin County have the lowest count of confirmed cases in Florida. Together with the latter ones, Glades County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your area has a low number of coronavirus cases, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
