Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in the U.S., the infection has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 64 people per mi2 (25 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of coronavirus patients has risen up to 5,1K today, Union County still has the lowest number of cases and fatal cases in the state of Florida.
Miami-Dade County and Broward County are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 1,6M and 775K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Glades County and Liberty County have the lowest number of COVID-19 cases in Florida. Together with the latter ones, Union County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your county has a low number of confirmed cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
