Since the first coronavirus patient was confirmed in the U.S., the virus has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 10 people per mi2 (4 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall number of coronavirus cases has increased up to 931 today, Liberty County still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of Florida.
Miami-Dade County and Broward County are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 344K and 159K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Glades County and Franklin County have the lowest number of confirmed cases in Florida. Together with the latter ones, Liberty County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your area has a low number of coronavirus cases, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
