Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the virus has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 8 people per mi2 (3 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of coronavirus patients has risen up to 398 today, Forest County still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of Wisconsin.

Milwaukee County and Brown County are the state's leaders in coronavirus patients with 35K and 13K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Pepin County and Rusk County have the lowest count of coronavirus patients in Wisconsin. Together with the latter ones, Forest County’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your county has a low number of coronavirus cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
