Since the first coronavirus case was confirmed in the U.S., the infection has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have coped to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 22 people per mi2 (8 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total number of confirmed cases has risen up to 5,5K today, Langlade County still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of Wisconsin.
Milwaukee County and Dane County are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 287K and 144K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Florence County and Iron County have the lowest number of confirmed cases in Wisconsin. Together with the latter ones, Langlade County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your region has a low number of COVID-19 cases, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
