The New York state is facing coronavirus along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. According to the stats, nearly 1,7M confirmed cases have been reported as of today, along with nearly 48K fatal cases. Figures have increased by 6,8K cases in a day.

In New York, the highest number of the population tested positive can be seen in Suffolk and Nassau. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 416 people per mi2 (159 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. In a week, the general number of COVID-19 cases in New York will reach 1,8M cases. By the way, the infection rate is informed to be 8,7K per 100,000 people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
