The New York state is facing the coronavirus disease along with the whole U.S. that still tries hard to slow the pandemic’s rise. As stated in the statistics, about 724K COVID-19 positive cases have been reported as of today, and about 35K deaths.

In New York, the highest number of people tested positive can be seen in Suffolk and Nassau. The risk of infection is average as the population density is 416 people per mi2 (159 people per km2) but the numbers are far from positive. In a week, the general number of confirmed cases in New York will rise to 843K cases. Besides, the infection rate is informed to be 3,7K per 100K people that is considered to be average among other states but it’s early to conclude that the situation is improving.
