Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the outbreak has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 11 people per mi2 (4 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of coronavirus patients has increased up to 256 today, Grant County still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of Minnesota.

Hennepin County and Ramsey County are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 62K and 26K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Cook County and Lake of the Woods County have the lowest number of COVID-19 cases in Minnesota. Together with the latter ones, Grant County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your area has a low number of COVID-19 positive people, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
