Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the virus has affected all 50 states. However, some areas have coped to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 11 people per mi2 (4 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of coronavirus patients has risen up to 492 today, Grant County still has the lowest number of cases and fatal cases in the state of Minnesota.
Hennepin County and Ramsey County are the state's leaders in coronavirus cases with 102K and 43K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Cook County and Lake of the Woods County have the lowest count of coronavirus cases in Minnesota. Together with the latter ones, Grant County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your county has a low number of coronavirus patients, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
