Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the virus has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 11 people per mi2 (4 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall number of COVID-19 cases has risen up to 1,3K today, Grant County still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of Minnesota.

Hennepin County and Ramsey County are the state's leaders in coronavirus patients with 267K and 110K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Cook County and Lake of the Woods County have the lowest count of coronavirus patients in Minnesota. Together with the latter ones, Grant County’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your county has a low number of coronavirus cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
