Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the disease has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 17 people per mi2 (6 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall count of COVID-19 cases has increased up to 11 today, Stevens County still has the lowest number of cases and deaths in the state of Minnesota.

Hennepin County and Ramsey County are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 14K and 5,4K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Cook County and Kittson County have the lowest number of COVID-19 cases in Minnesota. Together with the latter ones, Stevens County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your region has a low number of coronavirus cases, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
