Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the outbreak has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 4 people per mi2 (1 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall number of confirmed cases has increased up to 9 today, Lake County still has the lowest count of cases and fatal cases in the state of Minnesota.

Hennepin County and Ramsey County are the state's leaders in COVID-19 positive people with 14K and 5,3K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Cook County and Kittson County have the lowest count of COVID-19 positive people in Minnesota. Together with the latter ones, Lake County’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your region has a low number of COVID-19 positive people, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
