State by state, county by county, the COVID-19 outbreak is spreading in the U.S. Illinois is among the states that have the highest number of COVID-19 cases, as of today, its figure has reached 1,1M.
Jefferson County is not the most affected area in Illinois while DuPage County and Will County are the most-hit ones in the state. The risk of infection in the county is average if we talk about its population density that is 66 people per mi2 (26 people per km2) but the situation is still difficult. It is considered that a week later the total number of confirmed cases in Jefferson County will reach 3,7K cases. The statistics also show the average infection rate per 100,000 people - it’s 9,1K, but the virus is still spreading.
