Since the first coronavirus patient was confirmed in the U.S., the outbreak has hit all 50 states. However, some regions have managed to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 52 people per mi2 (20 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the overall number of COVID-19 cases has increased up to 3,4K today, Wabash County still has the lowest count of cases and fatalities in the state of Illinois.

Cook County and DuPage County are the state's leaders in coronavirus patients with 1,1M and 193K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Pope County and Hardin County have the lowest count of coronavirus patients in Illinois. Together with the latter ones, Wabash County’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your county has a low number of coronavirus cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and continue with good hygiene practices.
