Los Angeles County and San Diego County are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 3,7M and 1,1M patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Sierra County and Modoc County have the lowest number of COVID-19 cases in California. Together with the latter ones, Alpine County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
