Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the disease has affected all 50 states. However, some regions have coped to keep the numbers low.
The population density in the county is 21 people per mi2 (8 people per km2) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total number of confirmed cases has increased up to 2K today, Glenn County still has the lowest number of cases and fatalities in the state of California.
Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County are the state's leaders in confirmed cases with 1,1M and 264K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Alpine County and Sierra County have the lowest count of confirmed cases in California. Together with the latter ones, Glenn County’s per capita infection rate is considered below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.
Please note, even if your region has a low number of coronavirus cases, the virus is still active. Please stay vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
