Since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in the U.S., the disease has hit all 50 states. However, some areas have managed to keep the numbers low.

The population density in the county is 1.7/km2 (4.3/sq mi) so the risk of infection is below average. Even though the total number of COVID-19 positive people has risen up to 2 today, Trinity County still has the lowest number of cases and fatal cases in the state of California.

Los Angeles County and Riverside County are the state's leaders in COVID-19 cases with 121K and 21K patients with confirmed infection accordingly, while Sierra County and Alpine County have the lowest count of COVID-19 cases in California. Together with the latter ones, Trinity County’s per capita infection rate is regarded below average, but the coronavirus still remains a threat to public safety.

Please note, even if your region has a low number of COVID-19 cases, the virus is still active. Please remain vigilant and keep up with good hygiene practices.
