The U.S. health regulators continue to monitor COVID-19 cases in the country. As of today, California is in the top 10 the U.S. states with the most cases. Los Angeles County is reported to have the highest number of COVID-19 positive people in this state - 1,5M. San Diego County and Riverside County are in the second and third places accordingly.

It is predicted that in next week the overall number of coronavirus patients in Los Angeles County will reach 1,5M cases. Due to the high population density of 2,100 people per mi2 (800 people per km2) the risk of infection in this area is above average. The number of deaths in California rose up to 75K people. Furthermore, the rate of infection in Los Angeles County is informed to be 16K per 100,000 people that is considered to be above average.
